Which operating system (OS) is compatible with your software?

Deploid is completely cross platform and works on any OS with capabilities to run Flash Player 10 or above. This means the Deploid signage software will run on Linux, Windows, and Mac.

What are the minimum operating system (OS) requirements?

Microsoft Windows: Windows 2000 with Service Pack 4, Windows XP with Service Pack 2, or any version of Windows Vista.

Apple Mac: Mac OS X v. 10.4.9 or later.

What are the minimum hardware requirements?

Microsoft Windows: Intel Pentium 2.0 GHz or faster with 512MB of RAM and 32MB of VRAM.

Apple Mac: Mac OSX G4 1.8 GHz processor or faster with 512MB of RAM and 32MB of VRAM. Intel Core Duo 1.33GHz or faster with 512MB of RAM and 32MB of VRAM will also work. Intel processor required for H.264 video display.

What type of digital displays will work with the Deploid system?

LCD monitors, plasma displays, computer monitors, and projectors are all compatible with the Deploid digital signage software solution.

What security connection is used with the software?

Deploid uses RSA public/private keys to authenticate and stream.

What are my network connectivity requirements?

Our Signage Studio and WebPlayer do require a dedicated internet connection. However our AirPlayer powered by the built in Caching Engine does not require a dedicated connection. In fact, the AirPlayer searches for internet activity only during power up and when is searches if new content is available for it to download.

Will the system require me to set up a static IP address?

No, the software supports dynamic IP addresses.

How is the content displayed?

The Deploid software is a web-based application that operates in any browser running Flash Player 9.0 or greater.

Where are my latest edits saved?

Latest edits are saved on the servers and propagated to the appropriate media players. Whenever you change the configuration of your signage display, both videos and images are saved on the servers and downloaded to each media player for playback according to your schedule.

Am I limited to the number of media players I can use?

Deploid's system is scalable to any sized signage deployment. There are no restrictions placed on the number of licenses you can purchase. In addition, volume discounts apply for larger network deployments.

Why am I getting a port 336 error when I try to connect the player and displays?

The Deploid player communicates with the server via port 336. You must ensure that your computer or local router is not blocked by a firewall or proxy software to allow it to communicate through port 336.

How do I place a live DVD, satellite TV, and/or cable feed in a zone on my signage screen?

The software supports most capture devices, including tuner cards and web cameras. External devices may also be connected via S-video, RCA, and coax (from satellite and cable) using the software's capture device components.

How do I become a Deploid partner and/or reseller?

You must complete and sign Deploid's mutual NDA and certified reseller agreement. Once this has taken place, you are then authorized to resell Deploid hardware and software.
